Important Factors To Ensure The Service Life Of Band Saw Blades
Leave a message

1. Selecting high-quality band saw machines and operating and adjusting the machine tools correctly are important factors to ensure the service life. Good machine tool rigidity and working performance can prevent the huge impact of vibration and various stresses on the band saw blades.
2. Correctly select the band saw blades you will use. No band saw blade can meet all sawing requirements, and various forms and characteristics of saw blades have different utilities. This selection includes suitable saw blade width, tooth shape and tooth pitch.
3. Correctly use sawing parameters, which mainly include saw blade movement speed, feed pressure, feed force and saw blade tension. When sawing materials, the ideal chips should be tightly rolled, silver and have a warm feel. If sintered, brown-blue, thick or powdery chips appear, the relevant parameters need to be adjusted.
4. Correctly use cutting fluids and their mixtures to lubricate and cool the band saw blades and clean the attachments on the teeth in time.
5. Correctly "run in" the new band saw blade. "Run in" is to remove the burrs on the tooth edge through the natural wear of the saw teeth, so that the band saw blade gradually enters the normal sawing state, avoiding premature chipping and curling of the saw teeth, especially when cutting profiles, pipes and special-shaped materials with rapid cross-section changes. When "running in", the machine tool parameters should be adjusted to about 50% of the normal sawing efficiency, and the sawing area is generally 200-600cm2. After there are no abnormal conditions, gradually adjust the relevant machine tool parameters to enter the normal sawing state.
